Russian Eyelash Extensions

What are Russian Eyelash Extensions?

If your motto is ‘the bigger, the better’ then Russian Eyelash Extensions are definitely for you!

Similar to SVS, ultra lightweight, super soft, evenly spaced symmetrical fans are created and applied to each
lash, but instead of 3 lashes to each fan, this technique creates up to 8, resulting in exactly
what it says on the tin- Volume!

Like all our lash extension treatments, each set is customised to your taste. Fullness,
density and desired length will all be discussed with your technician beforehand, to ensure
you get the exact look you have in mind.

Due to the meticulous application and number of lashes used during a set of Russian
Volume lashes, the treatment time can range from 90-120 minutes. Significantly more than
SVS, but so worth it!

Do Russian Volume Lash Extensions damage your natural lashes?
During your initial consultation, our expertly trained lash artists will examine the condition, length and thickness of your natural lashes and create a bespoke set that puts your lash health first. They’ll also use our weight-for-weight lash guidance and lightweight lash extensions to ensure they don’t weigh down your natural lashes, minimising the risk of damage. That’s why it’s important to go to a certified artist and attend regular maintenance appointments.
Can you still wear make-up with Russian Volume Lashes?
The beauty of Russian lashes is the depth and volume they add to your natural eyelashes, so there’s no need for mascara on top. You can still wear make-up as normal, whether it’s foundation, powder or just a bit of CC cream, but we recommend using oil-free products around the eye area because the oils can break down the bonds in the adhesive, causing the extensions to become loose or fall out. I recommend the Nouveau oil-free Prebiotic Eye Make-Up Remover Gel is perfect for removing make-up around your lash extensions, as the formula glides over the bond and is also packed with ingredients to promote healthy lashes.
Can you get Russian Volume Eyelash Extensions wet?
For the first 24 hours after your treatment, do not get your eye area wet and avoid saunas or steam rooms until 48 hours after your treatment as your eyelashes can take up to 48 hours for the glue to fully set. Water, steam and heat can cause the bond in the glue to break down and can cause the lash extensions to fall out or become loose. After this time period, you can continue to shower, swim and use saunas but make sure you brush your lashes afterwards using a spooly brush – By Ellyse will provide a spooly free with every lash appointment.
